About me
My name is Monica Barbosa, and I am from Barcelos, Portugal. I hold a degree in Administrative Assistance and Translation from the Porto Accounting and Business School (ISCAP).
From an early age, I have been drawn to the study of the occult sciences. Over time, this interest developed into a dedicated path, eventually leading me to the study of Jyotiṣa (Vedic Astrology).
My journey began in Modern Western Astrology, followed by Traditional Western Astrology, and ultimately, decided to deepened the knowledge of astrology through the study of Traditional Jyotiṣa within a classical Paramparā (lineage) of Śrī Achyutānanda Dasa.
Training & Lineage
My formal studies began at Rama Academy under the guidance of Pandita Visti Larsen.
I later entered the paramparā of Śrī Achyuta Dasa, a 500-year-old Vedic lineage founded by Śrī Achyutānanda Dasa, through the Devaguru Bṛhaspati Center.
I completed the Parāśara Jyotiṣa Course (PJC) after five academic years of study under my Jyotiṣa Guru Pandita Sanjay Rath, with mentorship from Pandita Branka Larsen and Pandita Željko Krgović, receiving the title of Jyotiṣa Paṇḍita.
I continue my studies in Mantra Śāstra (MSP – Level II) under the guidance of Pandita Kartik Srinivasan.
Approach
My work is grounded in traditional Jyotiṣa, following a lineage-based transmission rather than modern reinterpretations.
I focus on understanding the structure of the birth chart and the unfolding of planetary periods, offering clarity on patterns, timing, and direction.
This is not general advice, but a structured analysis based on classical principles.
